Materna Group with new HR management
Sora Kim takes over responsibility for People & Culture and expands Executive Management Board

Sora Kim (49) will take over the position of Senior Vice President People & Culture at IT consulting company Materna Information & Communications SE from December 1, 2024. In this role, she will strengthen the Executive Management Board of the Materna Group, which is responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of the company and will report to CFO Dr. René Rüdinger. Sora Kim was most recently Vice President Talent Management & Internal Acquisition at Deutsche Post DHL Group. She takes over the role from Martin Brochhaus, who is retiring after more than seven years of successful work at Materna.
In her new role, Sora Kim will head up the People & Culture division and will be responsible for Learning & Development, Employer Branding, HR Marketing and Recruiting, HR Systems, Services and Processes as well as Labor Law. As a trained lawyer and experienced HR manager, she has over 20 years of cross-industry experience in human resources and people management. Her career is characterized by management positions in various industries such as consulting, automotive, customer service and logistics, where she has successfully implemented strategic consulting, transformation projects and HR initiatives.
With the GRIP² program, the Materna Group is pursuing its ambitious growth course until 2027, which aims to achieve sales of one billion euros by 2027 and to take a market-leading position in the field of artificial intelligence. As part of this strategic direction, Sora Kim will play a key role in shaping the HR strategy for the future and optimally preparing the company and its employees for the challenges of these growth targets.
