location Dortmund, Date 2022.02.07
The IT group Materna is fully on track with its Mission 2025 growth strategy launched last year and has now welcomed its 3,000th employee. Over 500 new jobs have been created for 2022. Last year, the group of companies already grew by a record 470 new employees. Nationwide, Materna is one of the top 5 employers in the IT industry (Stern/Statista ranking) and specializes in digitalization projects.
The current year is expected to be another record year. By the end of the year, Materna aims to grow to 3,500 employees. The planned new hires are spread across all business units. The Public Sector business unit, which implements a wide range of digitization projects for well-known federal and state authorities, is planning a particularly large number of new additions. "We are investing massively in staff expansion and further development and want to grow to 5,000 employees by 2025," says Martin Wibbe, CEO of the Materna Group.
Last year, the workforce grew by 470 employees, including over 90 trainees - more than ever before. The month with the highest number of hires was October, with around 100 new hires.
