Changes on the board: Chairman Helmut Binder leaving Materna

The Supervisory Board of internationally active IT service provider Materna Information & Communications SE has announced that the Chairman of their Management Board, Helmut Binder, has decided to take up a new professional challenge and, at his own request, is leaving the company on 31 December 2018. He will resign from his office as Chairman on 31 October 2018.
The search for a new Chairman has already begun. Until a successor has been appointed, CFO Michael Knopp will be taking care of operations with the support of the business line leaders and management team.
Helmut Binder has been at Materna since February 2015, initially as Managing Director and CEO and then as Chairman of the Management Board for the Materna Group. During his time and under his leadership many important decisions were made including various acquisitions, the founding of subsidiaries and the internationalisation which this has involved.
